Advanced/extended seminar series
Time: Monday 20-August, 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Location: L6 Seminar Room, Charles Perkins Centre.
Registration: not required

Content: We'll be providing an overview of panel design approaches for building high-quality panels of any size, up to 27-colours.

Why single cells analysis?
What are the challenges?
Building better panels:

  • Experimental question and hypothesis
  • Instrumentation
  • Reagent selection and characterization
  • Cellular targets
  • Combining antibodies with fluorophores
  • Titration and testing

Tessa Campbell (https://twitter.com/scientisttess) will also be sharing her experiences building panels with hard to find conjugates for NK cell antibodies.

More information can be found in our paper on panel design.

BD Intracellular Workshop

Multicolour flow cytometry is a powerful tool for the simultaneous analysis of multiple cellular markers. This workshop will enable you to design and run robust multicolour experiments on your digital flow cytometer. Join us for the next event in our series of BD Horizon Multicolour Workshops.

Theory Session

  • Importance of fluorochrome choice for surface and intracellular staining,
  • Importance of understanding antigen density patterns
  • Optimising instrument setup for maximum resolution
  • Applying the principles towards multicolour panel design for cytokines, transcription factors and phosphorylated targets

Venue: Centenary Institute, Level 6 Lecture Theatre, Lambie Dew Dr, Sydney, NSW

Date: Monday 12th March, Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Lunch will be provided

Practical sessions

  • Design, stain, acquire and analyse an 8- colour panel.
  • Full day practicals: 9:00am - 5:00p
