Training options - BASIC

The Sydney Cytometry core offers basic training to users for a range of instruments, assays, and software. To see advanced training options, please click here. Registered users can see all training request types in PPMS at this link.

Prices for training are listed here under 'General'.

Please note, instruments cannot be booked until biosafety approval has been granted (see step 1) and specific instrument training has been completed. Please see this link for a complete set of steps to get started with Sydney Cytometry.

FLOW CYTOMETry training

We provide training for operating flow cytometers within Sydney Cytometry.

Details: Run regularly.
Duration: 3 hr session, dry and wet lab.
Location: Charles Perkins Centre core facility (level 5), or Centenary Institute core facility (level 1).

BASIC PANEL DESIGN

We provide training in the design of basic multicolour (<12 colour) panels for flow cytometry.

Details: run once per month, or upon request.
Duration: 1 hr session.
Location: Charles Perkins Centre, level 5.

BASIC DATA ANALYSIS (and SOFTWARE)

We provide training for various kinds of analysis software, including FlowJo analysis of flow cytometry data. Training is split into two streams: FlowJo basic analysis (this page) and FlowJo advanced analysis (see this link).

Details: run once per month, or upon request.
Duration: 1.5 hr session.
Location: Charles Perkins Centre, level 5.
